Why You Need A Paypal AccountBy far the most popular payment method on eBay is Paypal and there are many reasons and advantages for this. Paypal is a secure online payment system which is now owned by eBay and offers extra auction features and tools for keeping track of your sales. Money can be transferred from your Paypal account to your personal bank account and vice-versa at any time, but you should be aware that if you withdraw less than £50 there is a tariff that will be deducted from your account. To avoid the tariff, I simply wait until I have achieved a balance of £50 or more before withdrawals.
The great thing about having a Paypal account is that your eBay customers can pay instantly using a credit or debit card without having an account themselves. You receive an email confirming that you have received a payment and it is then simply a matter of posting out your item to the buyer. This speeds up the process and helps to make for happy customers, and it also saves a trip to the bank to deposit cheques. If you don't have an account you can click on the link below to visit the Paypal site and find out more about the benefits of becoming a member. Another advantage of having a Paypal account is that once you have accrued some earnings, you can take advantage of some of the great bargains on eBay without having to raid your personal bank account - It's almost like shopping for free! |
