Promote Healthy Bidding
Perhaps you have an item you are sure will fetch a good price and you want to generate interest. Make your starting price 99p or less, perhaps even 1p! There are lots of collectors regularly checking out eBay listings. For them to see an Art Deco Clarice Cliff item listed at a penny is going to have them all fervently clicking on the “watch item” button! Pretty soon it will turn into a bidding frenzy, and the more people you have bidding the higher the price your item will fetch.
For most regular items, bidding will usually start during the last day or two of the auction and there is an advanced listing strategy you can use to take advantage of this.
