Revising Your eBay™ Item Listing
If you have an item that isn't selling consider how you might improve the listing. Would it be better in a different category? Would a reduced starting price generate more interest? Think of the buyers viewing your listing. Is there something you forgot to say about your item? Would a better photograph show your item in a more favourable light? If you have no bids and you think your item may sell by revising the listing, then it is perfectly reasonable to do so, but remember that you have to do this when there is more than 12 hours before the auction ends. If your item has run its course and still didn’t sell, you should use the “relist” link from your “my eBay” page, and revise the item description. This way if the item sells second time around, you will not have to pay more listing fees. But give some thought as to how you will improve your listing before diving in, and whether it might be a good idea to wait for a while before relisting. |
